"Had a great lunch today in Brenham at Ernie's! The service is awesome! Food tastes fresh and made to order.We had the crab cake sandwich and the eggplant pasta. The server even suggested a different sauce on the pasta that she thought I would like! It was great! Will be going back soon!"

"Went to Brenham to tour the shops in the historic downtown area on a Sunday afternoon. Disappointingly found that most stores in the downtown area are closed. Happened upon Ernie's and found it to be a delightful surprise. Had probably one of the best bloody mary's ever. The food was good and the wait staff was informative. I can see where one of the previous reviewers might find it slow, but it's part of the charm of the restaurant. Don't go there if you're in a hurry and want a commercial chain meal. For dessert, we shared a peanut butter and chocolate bread pudding that was heavenly. Will definitely go back. Nice find, less than an hour from Houston."

"Have eaten here twice. It's a large airy light filled restaurant. Had a good vibe. The food was really great. A wonderful selection of appetizers such as crab cakes (excellent), entrees ranging from hearty fresh salads to pasta to chicken dishes. Good selection of dessert though the only way we could manage among the group of girls on a weekend out was to share! We were so full. Service is very good. I've only eaten here around lunch time. Both times (one during the week and another on a weekend), there were not a lot of people inside but don't let that fool you. The food is very good. They are located downtown in the historic area. Parking was easy and free right in front of the restaurant or just down the street in front of what looked like a court house. It's a lovely location. I think they have the room to accommodate larger groups."
